The British Holistic Healthcare Association (BHHA, formerly the British Holistic Medical Association) is a membership charity promoting person-centred, sustainable and compassionate healthcare and health creation.

Modern medicine is brilliant at fixing parts, less good at treating people. Chronic illness, anxiety and loneliness don’t show up in a single organ or a single prescription. Holism isn’t an alternative to good medicine — it’s what good medicine looks like when it takes the whole person seriously. And health is made in kitchens, schools and friendships as much as in clinics: we are all health creators.

For 40 years we’ve shared practice from the frontiers of holism through conferences, events and the Journal of Holistic Healthcare — whose full back catalogue subscribers can explore by simply asking questions of our conversational interface.
